Police arrest two after raid in Freedom
Friday, September 03, 2010

State police and other agents in Beaver County Thursday raided a house in Freedom where they arrested two people on drug trafficking charges and a third suspect who had an outstanding warrant.

Charles Louis Powell II, 21, and Samantha Jo Glaab, 21, both of 1 Sixth Ave., were arrested after troopers raided their residence at about 9 a.m.

Police seized several guns, 300 rounds of ammunition, assorted drug paraphernalia, cash and about a half-pound of marijuana.

During the raid, police discovered an arrest warrant was outstanding for Shane Emerick, 20, also of Freedom, for failure to answer a summons last month on a count of receiving stolen property.

Mr. Emerick had been at the residence when troopers, Freedom police and county sheriff's deputies served the search warrant.
