A former secretary at the Moon Area School District was sentenced to serve up to 23 months in jail for stealing from her employer.
Audrey Quel, 42, was charged in 2008 after district financial records showed that $29,000 collected from a number of school functions was missing.
Funds were taken from football games, candy sales, basketball games and hoagie sales.
Ms. Quel was convicted by a jury in December.
Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Joseph K. Williams III sentenced her to 111?2 to 23 months in jail followed by seven years of probation. Ms. Quel must also pay restitution to the district - nearly half of which will come from her district pension account.
